Mint Tea
"A Unicorn pony doesn't need magic. All they need is a little love and attention to plant in those around them, and the friendship will bloom on it's own."

The Basics
Name: Mint Tea
Nickname/Alias: Minty? If you run her name together...
Species: Unicorn pony
Gender: Female
Age: 21 years -- Young mare
Group: Good
Occupation: Sells tea
Appearance
Fur/Mane/Tail: Mint Tea's fur is a clean white, and the back of each of her hooves is a soft, light green. That same green is the base color of her main and tail, both of which are short, with streaks of of pastel pink running through.
Clothes/Accessories: Mint Tea does not usually wear any clothes or accessories, though she harbors a desire to receive a small token from a good friend--a hair clip, a necklace, anything of the sort.
Cutie Mark: Her cutie mark is a garden trowel; a gray rounded triangle with a wooden (brown) handle. This is representative of her special talent, which is gardening.
Overview: Mint Tea has a lean body, and she moves daintily, often trotting lightly around. She doesn't step heavily and tries to keep most of her weight in the air when she walks so that she doesn't trample the plants underhoof. Her eyes are a kind of greenish cyan. Right above her cutie-mark is a patch of green fur with white spots that extends on both sides. Mint Tea is a smaller pony, and her horn is a bit thicker than usual Unicorn pony's. Physically, Mint Tea is a delicate pony, and has a frail structure. She isn't particularly good at anything athletic, and she is easily hurt.
Personality
Personality Description: Mint Tea is sweet, and enjoys casual conversation over tea. Her special talent is gardening, as indicated by her trowel cutie mark, however, she is also quite skilled at making tea from the herbs she gardens—hence her occupation. She does not enjoy using magic; it makes her incredibly nervous. So, she does all her gardening by hoof--er, mouth. Mint Tea would prefer not to choose sides when dealing with anything from friends who are arguing to the forces of good and evil. If she is pressed, she will act in the way that will give the most good to the most amount of ponies possible. Mint Tea is calm and collected most of the time, leaping into a panic when confronted by many kinds of creatures, intimidating colts, and destructive magic. She is afraid to let other ponies know what she really thinks, and will often speak like a diplomat to avoid hurting anypony’s feelings. To those who are merely acquaintances, she is polite and shy, and to those who know her well, she is sweet and happy-go-lucky. Mint Tea is just a little oblivious, and is easily manipulated—one of the reasons she fears too much contact with those more powerful than her (colts, for example). She admires those with housemaking skills, such as cooking and cleaning, and she loves docile ponies like herself. She won’t go looking for ponyfolk in need, but when she knows of someone who could use a helping hoof, she’s there. She hates awkward silences, but is fine with silence on its own.

History
History: Mint Tea was born in Whitetail Wood, and eventually moved into Ponyville. Not liking being so close to the small town, she aspired to move again—and move she did; when she was old enough, Mint Tea built herself a small home at the edge of the Everfree Forest, where she still lives in the quiet solitude with her gardens.
Mint Tea discovered her calling in life when her parents encouraged her to take care of a garden. She took to it quickly, and discovered that her magical talents could make her plants grow and bloom faster than she could have ever imagined. One day, with all her strength, she let her garden grow through the use of her magic, and it overwhelmed the small yard. Overjoyed with her talent, Mint Tea’s parents considered enrolling her in a magic institute in Canterlot. However, before they could move, they soon found that the overgrown garden in their yard had attracted all kinds of unsavory beasts to move in. Mint Tea was the first to discover this, and was taken by surprise by the new beasties living in her garden. Terrified, she lied to her parents and told them she couldn’t use magic anymore. They moved to Ponyville not long after, and Mint Tea has seldom used her talent since then, preferring the natural method.
This is why she lives by the Everfree Forest, where everything grows without the help of ponies. Her other fears and abilities were discovered after she moved to Ponyville, and she still lies to everypony about her magical abilities--or lack thereof, claiming that she must have put so much magic into her first garden that it "sapped her dry".
