"No I'm not, I'm a chicken! BAGAWK!"
The Basics
Name: Pinkamena Diane Pie
Nickname/Alias: Pinkie, or Pinkie Pie
Species: Earth Pony.
Gender: Female.
Age: 16
Group: Good Pony!
Occupation: Confectioner and Baker.
Appearance
Fur/Mane/Tail: Pinkie Pie is, of course, entirely pink; her coat a few shades lighter then her tail and mane. Her mane, thanks to her constantly-wild personality and penchant for laughter and fun, is as big as her personality it; a mess of waves and curles. But crazy is what makes Pinkie... Well, Pinkie.
Clothes/Accessories: Pinkie Pie doesn't wear much; it's not what you wear to parties that matters, she asserts, it's who's there! If she does wear something, it's something Rarity's made her, because, obviously, Rarity's the bestily-best of all the bestily ponies in bestville of making wonderful things!
Cutie Mark:
Pinkie Pie's cutie mark represents her talent for parties; and not just parties, anything that might cheer a pony up, from comedy to songs to pranking. Pinkie once lived in a boring world without laughter, and now she's decided to never let anypony live that boring-poring life, so she's dedicated herself, Pinkie Pie, to making sure everypony is happy and joyful.
Overview: Pinkie Pie, as far as stature goes, is a pretty normal pony. She's an average size, maybe a bit on the smaller end, but not enough to be mistaken for a filly, with graceful limbs (at least, they look graceful) and a slender midsection.
More unique to Pinkie is the way she moves. Pinkie is rarely trotting alongside her friends or standing somewhere and waiting; she is bouncing, cantering, shaking, or dancing. This energy-filled pony can't stop moving, even when she's trying to be sneaky, and her movements aren't as subtle as a little twitch, Pinkie will bounce clear over other pony's heads; for no reason other then that she feels like it.vBecause of this, a lot of falling is included in Pinkie's daily diet, which is why her limbs look graceful, but don't necessarily function that way.
Nevertheless, the pink pony is never deterred by a fall; since when did dirt hurt anyone?
Personality
Personality Description: I sort of included this above, but everything Pinkie does is to make people happy. She herself has decided to remain happy most of the time; there is more (not, granted, much more, but a little bit more) going on in her head then there appears to be, but she usually manages to think of nothing but the happy, forever an optimist.
This doesn't mean, however, that she is always happy. She can get mad, annoyed, frightened; but almost always does so in an amusing way. For example; when Twilight Pinkie Pie Promised to keep Fluttershy and Rarity's secrets about their feelings about Fluttershy's modeling career a secret, Pinkie Pie made sure to follow Twilight everywhere so that she kept her promise (it was a Pinkie Pie promise, wasn't it? Therefore her business!), and she did get mad at Twilight when she told Photofinish about Spike's feelings for Rarity, but Pinkie never gets mad enough to upset her friends. Just mad enough to make sure they keep their Pinkie Pie Promises.
As such, you can see that she's also a very loyal pony. Friendship is very important to her; more important then anything, actually. This is why she's so sensitive to the feelings of her friends. When she thinks that they've abandoned her or don't like her anymore, she's more upset by the thought that her one mission in life, to make sure every pony is happy, is failing then the thought that her friends hate her; though, that, too, depresses her. Obviously.
Strengths:
- PARTYING.
- Making people laugh
- Seeing the bright side
- ...Predicting the future, apparently
- Stealth. She can literally be hiding anywhere.
Weaknesses
- Being sympathetic. She might be COMPASSIONATE, but her solution to EVERYTHING is parties and laughter, which doesn't always help.
- ...Always wanting to party.
- Perhaps a little cray cray.
- Bit slow on the uptake sometimes.
- She tends to be a step offbeat from the rest of her friends, which makes it hard for Twilight to keep them all organized.
Fears:
- Losing her friends.
- People not thinking she's funny.
- One of her parties becoming a disaster.

History
History: Pinkie Pie was born on a rock farm.
Do you know what they do on rock farms?
...Well, they farm rocks. But that's not really the point.
The point is that rock farms are very boring; the perfect job for straight-laced ponies like the Pies. Contrary to their name, while they enjoyed pie, the Pies were more of a quiet, hardworking folk. Neither coming from a well-to-do family, they had to work hard all their life, so there wasn't much time for fun or games; and when their three fillies were born, they were the same way... with the notable exception of Pinkie Pie. While she tried her best to be silent and move the rocks obediently like her parents wanted, the young filly never quite felt.... right. There was something inside her, something she couldn't reach, that was itching to come out, but, try as she might, she couldn't figure out what it was. She tried moving more rocks at a slower pace, like one of her sisters preferred to do, and just one rock, quickly, like her other sister preferred. Either way, she just felt so bored. No one smiled. No one laughed. They just moved rocks.
Suddenly, though, one day, after a hours of grueling rock-moving, Pinkie Pie, left alone in the yard, saw a huge boom that created a rainbow and cleared the dark clouds from the sky; exposing bright blue and creating enough static to make Pinkie's hair kink wildly.
It was the first moment in her life where the filly had felt real, true joy; had smiled.
She never wanted it to end; and she wanted everyone else to share in the joy she felt from that rainbow.
That was the thing, though. She couldn't just go around creating rainbows, now could she? She had to do something else, something that would be just as amazingly fantastically fun...
And that was when Pinkie Pie, partier extraordinaire, was born.
She stayed up all night hanging streamers, making cakes, setting up finger foods, blowing up regular balloons, heart-shaped balloons, balloons in the shape of horseshoes. She scattered color everywhere, trying to match the dazzling effect of the rainbow, and peppered the old windmill tower with kazoos and confetti.
It was pretty darn cool, if she said so herself.
She invited her parents in, thrilled to share with them the joy she felt when she saw the rainbow; but their reaction was... was...
Well, it was sort of wobbly and uncertain; and for that reason the young filly thought maybe they didn't like it, maybe she'd never be able to share the joy of that rainbow...
But then they smiled! Everypony was grinning, just like she had when she'd seen that rainbow, and, all sharing their happiness, they partied.
It had been the greatest day of her short life.
After that, Pinkamena, now going by the nickname 'Pinkie', knew she'd never be happy in a life shoveling rocks, so the pony went out on her own, with her family's blessing, to move to the nearby town of Ponyville and in with Mr. and Mrs. Cake, old friends of the Pies' and fully willing to accommodate Pinkie's love for baking and partying.
That was when Pinkie met her friends.
The first was Applejack; who, the very day after Pinkie had arrived, came with her brother to drop off some apples for the town's baked goods. Pinkie said hello; then blabbered for who knew how long about apples and how much she loved them and how she didn't know much about bucking them but she knew lots about all the different things you could make with them like Apple Pie, Apple Butter, Apple Cupcakes, Apple Chutney, Apple Cobbler, Apple Coffee Cake, Apple Cranberry Crumble Pie, Apple Cranberry Pie, Apple Crisp, Apple Peanut Butter Sandwich, Apple Turnovers, Apple Walnut Gorgonzola Rustic Tart Turnovers...
The list went on until an overwhelmed Applejack, as politely as she could manage, excused herself.
Next came Rainbowdash, who Pinkie tailed through the skies curiously until she came crashing down to the ground after trying to do the Sonic Rainboom (apparently, according to her again). She tried to get away... but no one gets away from Pinkie.
Then was Fluttershy, who Pinkie scared out of her wits by popping out of a bush. Then Rarity; whom Pinkie, typical, got dirt on when splashing in mud puddles.
From then on, they were fast friends.
Twilight, strangely enough, upon her arrival, had no trouble at all fitting in with the odd group. She just fit; which of course Pinkie Pie knew right away. What were party ponies like her for? Bringing ponies together, that's what!
The six ponies adventured together, represented the six elements, and learned all about the magic of friendship. And, nothing (not even Discord) could separate them for long.
Roleplay Sample: It was just another Pinkie Pie day.
The pony, bouncing through town (and, yes, quite literally bouncing, all four hooves in the air at once), was headed for Sugarcube Corner, in the mood, as she always was, for sweets.
But then, her Pinkie Sense went off; and it was a combo!
"Nose tickle," She chirped, "knee shake, ear flop--RAINBOWDASH!"
Yup. Even her friends had combos.
The pink pony shouted the last word brightly; and, perhaps, if it had been somepony else, the villagers would have been alarmed... but it was just Pinkie being, well, Pinkie, so they didn't mind.
Pinkie herself had lept up in the air and landed with all four hooves sprawled farther out then normal, grinning with excruciating brightness up at one particular cloud. A surprisingly long pause went by, a few seconds, before the aforementioned, rainbow-colored pony shot through the sky and created a hole in the cloud before taking an unintentional nosedive straight into the ground below Pinkie Pie. She skidded to a halt, dirt rising in puffs around her, just below the pink pony, and Pinkie lowered her head, eyes in bright, inverted-U's, teeth glistening with her wide grin.
"HI, Rainbowdash!"
Rainbowdash muttered something that sounded suspiciously like a hello.
"I knew you were coming! I had a combo Pinkie Sense-that's when I have more then one twitch at once, and it was for you, Rainbowdash!" She was talking faster then even the fastest pony around could keep up, and Rainbowdash just blinked up at her. "So I stood here and waited until you fell out of the sky; but I was going to go to Sugarcube corner, so do you wanna come with me?" And she beamed again, smile bright, eyes blinking, and teeth shining.
"Gee, I dunno, Pinkie--" Dash was rising to her hooves and shaking herself off.
"Oh, come oooooooooooooooon, Rainbowdash! It'll be FUN!" She hopped up and did a little twirl in the air, then, quite out of the blue, sobered and trotted up close to her friend, "I'll tell you a secret...." Pinkie Pie pursed her lips, eyes darting back and forth to make sure no one was listening, then tossed her head back and, leaping into the air, screamed as loud as she possibly could, "WE'RE GOING TO CELEBRATE!!!"
"Celebrate WHAT?" Squeaked Rainbowdash, one eye squinting a bit. Hadn't that been a secret? Pinkie nearly burst one of her eardrums...
The pink pony in question landed back swiftly onto all four hooves, smiling softly.
"I dunno."
And she hopped over to Sugarcube Corner, assuming Rainbowdash was following.
Yup. Just another Pinkie Pie day.
