The Basics
Name: Snowdrop
Nickname/Alias: Snow, Droppy
Species: Pegasus
Gender: Female
Age: Filly
Group: Good Pony
Occupation: Student
Appearance
Fur/Mane/Tail:Snowdrop is a (excuse the obvious) Snow-white pegasus filly. She has a rather long-ish, mildly wavy, cloud blue mane and tail, the latter which is apt to drag a little on the ground.
Clothes/Accessories: None...for the present. But she'll happily accept any donations!
Cutie Mark: Also none... for the present
Overview: Snowdrop carries herself with a light and curious air, bright slate-blue eyes taking in everything and usually imagining it to be something else, prancing more than walking, and often trying to fly- with little success.
Personality
Personality Description: A happy and hopeful little filly, Snowdrop loves to daydream and imagine interesting stories and act them out. She's cheerful and personable (ponyable?), rather more dreamy than ditzy.Sometimes it takes a bit more effort than it should to get her attention, but a pony must be careful, because she's sensitive to insult and is often hurt by a remark not intended to offend at all, resulting in tears and theatrics. On the other hand, this sensitivity makes her rather adept at understanding and dealing with another pony's feelings. She's no mind reader, of course, but if a pony's actions hint their feelings, she'll pick up on it.
Snowdrop's imagination is vast and she feeds it with both history and fantasy- anything, in fact, that tells a story. But her attention span for more practical subjects, like grammar, math, and science, is perilously thin. She couldn't tell you how many apples Big Macintosh has left if he gives three to Rarity, twelve to Fluttershy, and four to Twilight Sparkle. But she can and WILL tell you about the romantic candlelit dinner she imagines he and Rarity have later. And about how she imagines Fluttershy feeds hungry animals with her apples. And how imaginary Twilight yelled at imaginary Spike when he ate the four apples she was saving for a study-break snack!
Although she gets shipped to whatever relative can be convinced, begged, blackmailed, pleaded with, or otherwise implored to take her in for a while, Snowdrop tries to make the best of each situation and uses her imagination to prevent herself from feeling neglected or lonely. She has learned to make friends quickly, since she can never be sure how long she has in any one town, and when she cant find anypony to be friends with, she just makes somepony up!
Strengths:
- Imagining/pretending stuff
- Reading, especially history and fiction.
- Excellent memory (for stories, at least)
- Cheerful and upbeat personality
- Sensitive to other people's feelings
Weaknesses
- Incapable of standing on clouds
- Over-dramatizes things
- Tends to get lost in her dream world imaginings
- Almost hopeless at realistic things like math and science
- Super-sensitive to insults and tends to cry very easily
Fears:
- Monsters, Burglers, and scary shadows
- Never being able to go home to Cloudsdale or fly at all
- Blank-flanking for the rest of her life.
Magical Specialty/Abilities: Lack of pegasus cloud physics?
History
History: Not too many years ago, a well-to-do pegasus couple living in cloudsdale became the happy new parents of a cute little snow-white pegasus filly. All seemed well, the baby was extraordinarily happy and almost never cried. But one day, they took her outside their home to play in the clouds for the first time. Imagine their shock and horror when, upon setting the crawling little filly down in an especially fluffy cloud bank, she promptly sank right though and fell from the sky. She was saved from an untimely splatting, luckily, but careful testing quickly proved that for whatever reason, she lacked the inherent pegasus ability to stand upon, touch, push, pull or otherwise move clouds.
Her parents were important weather-planners in Cloudsdale and they simply could not afford to leave their jobs and live on the ground. They tried keeping Snowdrop in the house, since it was apparent that she could stand upon any object that was enchanted to rest upon clouds- such as rugs and carpets, furniture and the like. But the little filly would grow restless, watching other ponies her age play outdoors. After several attempts to sneak out and just as many averted near-splattings, they simply had to send her down to the ground to live with whichever relations will have her, for as long as they will have her. She often visits her parents, especially on the weekends, but whenever she does, she is still confined to the house, as her parents were warned not to have her enchanted by cloud-walking spells too often, lest she build up a resistance to their magic, or have them fail unexpectedly.
Roleplay Sample:(I know it's not necessary for an OC, but just for fun...)
Drip, drip, drip...
Snowdrop the fearless crept quietly through the ancient castle's dungeon. She knew that a priceless treasure awaited her here, but the area was full of traps and hidden dangers. And she was sure she heard a terrible monster growling somewhere nearby. Her expert monster-identification skills led her to suspect it was most likely a manticore or perhaps a chimera. It might even be both! She must avoid waking it, at any cost! The slimy stone flags of the floor looked suspicious just here, the filly thought, so she leapt nimbly upon a statue of a fierce dragon and walked along its back to make another leap on a more promising bit of the stone floor.
She was nearly there, now. The fearsome monster was out of hearing now, and the door to the treasure vault towered over her. Naturally, it would be locked. Snowdrop the fearless felt for her lock picking kit, perfect for just such an occasion, but she found that she had lost it somewhere. It must have been when she wrestled with that giant alligator. What a pity. But she had not crossed the dangerous bubblebath river, wrestled that giant alligator, been captured by angry natives of the MomNDad tribe, been put into the prison hut- their word for it sounded suspiciously like 'bed', escaped, made her way there in the dead of night and risked life and limb just to turn away now! wheeling sharply, Snowdrop the fearless delivered a kick that could shatter solid stone to the door! It flew open with a resounding BANG! Aware that she had surely just woken the fearsome beast with her racket, Snowdrop made a fearless spring into the darkness of the treasure vault beyond- only to find herself outside.
Snowdrop came out of her imaginings just before remembering she was visiting her parents this weekend. With a shriek, she promptly sank through the clouds and into the darkness of the sky below! She fluttered her wings valiantly in an attempt to slow, if not stop, her downward plunge, but if the way her mane and tail were being pulled vertically over her head were any indication, she was not slowing herself nearly enough! She had no idea how long she had fallen, but before she hit the ground, something dark and yet, somehow, luminous shot down in front of her, then came up under her, slowing her fall first, then swooping back up with her to Cloudsdale.
A mane like stars in the night sky streamed past her face. Wings sleek and shiny and midnight blue beat steadily into the wind, carrying both her and Princess Luna, whom she recognized from pictures, (but not, of course, from previous acquaintance!) safely to her doorstep. Her terrified parents scrambled to get her inside, tripping over themselves in their efforts to pay their princess homage, thank her profusely for rescuing their daughter, scold said daughter in their relief and confusion, and put that same daughter back to bed. But, as Snowdrop the Beautiful Princess was being led away to be locked into a tower for a hundred years, she looked back at that other princess and grinned.

How You Found Us: Googling "MLP Rp Board"
Alias: Coffeefox or Coffee, or just call me by my character's name, I don't mind.
Comments: Cheese-flavored whirly doodles. That is all you need to know. Oh, and also that even though I used Luna in my sample Rp, I do know I'm not really supposed to do that in actual play. XD
