Cerina found today to be one of her best days in a while. She finished up her weather duties, bringing in more clouds for the night so it'll rain over night, not bothering anyone for the daytime, but that didn't mean she had to go straight home. Besides, as a part of dealing with the weather, you get used to it all, from hail, to rain, to the extremely days. Rain was nice. Unless, of course, you're walking on a dirt path. Mud was always hard to get out of her tail and coat.
She flew through air, wings stretched out, going towards the apple orchards. She hoped the Apple's wouldn't mind if she hung out here for a while. She landed next to a tall apple tree and laid down, looking at the grass. Today, her wing wasn't hurting, but she knew, no matter how much she loved to fly, she couldn't over work herself. If she did, she'd be stuck on the ground for a while.
Ceria wanted to eat one of the apples that hung above her head, to fill her stomach from a long day of work, but she didn't know if that would be right to do something. To the family that owned these trees, she might as well be stealing and the thought of that haunted her. She would get a nice meal when she got home from Blue. He wasn't a great cook, but anything warm in her belly might as well be a five star meal.
She sighed loudly, looking up at the darkening sky, knowing it was going to rain pretty soon. Though it was against orders, she decided to clear just a bit of the sky for her sake. She gave a soft smile as she stood back up, spreading out her wings. She felt a twitch from her bad wing, but ignored it. Only this, she thought to herself. I'll walk home, she added. She took off into the air and through the clouds, feeling a few water droplets sticking to her coat.
She flew, pushing the clouds around until a nice, big circle of no clouds. She landed back on the ground and flexed her wing. Yes, she decided, I shouldn't keep flying like this. She hummed as she sat back down, hearing the rain pouring down while she was fine. She laid down on the soft grass and closed her eyes, tired from work. She loved her job and there was nothing she loved more than feeling like she accomplished something that day.
