The sound of the TARDIS was one that anyone that had ever heard it would recognize. A blue police police box appeared in the basement of a school. Luckily it was the weekend and no one was there to question him. The Doctor made his way out of the school at a leisurely pace stopping to look in the class rooms so he would have an idea what time period he was in.
When he made it out of the school he could see Ponyville. It was obvious that this was after Discord had been sealed away. Unfortunately, since Discord had gotten free on more then one occasion it still was not enough information. The Doctor started to slowly walk around to see who was around. He usually found it was easier to either just ask someone what the date was or find someone he recognized in that time period.

What a day! It was a miracle that she wasn't still at home, possibly taking a nap or enjoying a cup of tea, but there was so much, yet so little to do today! Besides, she wanted to enjoy a bit of the spring weather. What felt like a long winter was finally starting to clean up. There was no snow in sight, but she could see the flowers budding. She was excited for when they would bloom. Ponyville would smell so nice!
After having fed all the animals, tended to Snowdrop's and Inkie Pie's little bird, cleaned the chicken coop and tidied her cottage, she wanted a bit of a breather. She still had so much she wanted to get done today before she met with Rarity for their spa treatment, but it was always important not to overwork herself! She remembered when Applejack had done that; she had been so worried!
Fluttershy noticed she had wandered in the direction of the school house. Oh, how she would have rather spent her days here on the ground as a filly instead of Cloudsdale. Flying with everyone was always scary for her, not to mention those chants. "Fluttershy, Fluttershy can barely fly". Though she had somewhat conquered that fear a while ago to help raise the water, it didn't mean the memory went away.
She sighed when she noticed a colt coming out of the front door. Peculiar, she thought to herself. She had seen him a few times -never really talked to him before though- and never around the school during the school hours. Trotting in his direction, she perked up a bit and smiled. "You seem a bit lost," she said, her voice soft and calm. "Can I help you?"

As the Doctor was thinking about which direction he should go he heard a familiar voice. When he turned to look at who its was he saw Fluttershy. That told him all he needed to know, seeing as she was around teen age. Fluttershy was always kind, loved animals and in this time period, controlled one of the elements of harmony. The Doctor smiled upon seeing her and responded in his usual way.
"If I had not found someone I already knew like you I would have been lost. Fortunately for me you happened to come along rather quickly and I know when I am. How have you been? How old are you? Has anything strange happened recently?"
The Doctor had so many questions. Even though he could try and estimate her age it would be easy to ask. He had to know how far along she was. He always had to be careful not to tell a person about their own future. Then it was always fun to find out how much a person did or did not know about themselves.

The first thought that came to her was that this pony liked to talk. Maybe he liked the sound of his voice? Or he could possibly be one of the patients at the hospital- the ones with mental problems- by the way he talked and the things he talked about. How old was she? And had anything strange happened? What odd questions, but she wasn't going to leave him hanging so she politely smiled. He did seem like a really nice pony, anyways and decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. Who knows, those weird questions might actually have a purpose.
"I'm eighteen?" she answered. "And...um... oh! Well, there was the whole thing with the, um, you know, the changelings. But that was a while ago from now; a few weeks," she explained. The whole incident that happened in Canterlot spread like wildfire. Well, how couldn't it? People had o tell loved ones in far away places that they were alright! The only downside she could see to it, that everyone knew, what that everyone gave her too much credit for what she didn't do! Though they were told to get the Elements of Harmony, they hadn't reached them. It was Princess Cadence and Shining Armour that saved the day.
"Oh! And I've been doing rather well," Fluttershy said shyly. "It's spring time so I've been rather busy with the animals. After a long hibernation, I want to make sure that they're at the best possible health," she said. Oh, how she loved her animals. Well, not just her animals; all the animals in Equestria! No matter how much attention she had to give them, she didn't mind. She would always be there for them, as well as anypony that required her assistance or company.
"I don't think I've met you before, sir," she noted outloud. "I-I'm Fluttershy; it's nice to meet you."

"Your eighteen? That's fantastic!" Doctor Whooves said with enthusiasm. That meant she was still in the easy part of her life. He had always wanted to be there for the first time Fluttershy had been asked out on a date and accepted. He could only imagine the look on her face when she found enough courage to do that. To bad he never knew when that day was, FLuttershy's future self would never tell him.
"Oh, I remember the changelings. Every pony running around and things were all strange and scary. That was a brilliant adventure" He said with some nostalgia. Since he time traveled so much tomorrow was never certain to be tomorrow for him. In fact he had just came from the far future where he knew which relationships had grown. Well that was expect for a few interesting ponies that had strange flux of time floating around them.
When Fluttershy introduced himself he shortly got a confused look on his face. " What? We haven't met yet? What? What? What?" After a few moments of being confused he managed to stop himself and properly introduce himself.
"I am sorry for the confusion I'm The Doctor, it is a pleasure to meet you Futtershy."

"It is?" she replied. She didn't see being a certain age would be fantastic; you were who you were no matter what age. Although, maturity does play a good role in how somepony behaves. Maybe this pony's favorite time was when he was eighteen.
"Brilliant?" she replied, horribly confused. She didn't think such a time would be good, much less brilliant. The ending could be considered brilliant, the display of love and magic from Shining Armour and Princess Cadence. That had been a sight to behold and she was glad she was there to witness it. Not only that, but she was one of the bridesmaids! Standing up in front of a crowd had been an internal struggle for her, though, but knowing this was a time of happiness between two ponies made everything better.
"You were there for that?" Fluttershy questioned. If he had been there for that, then why did he not remember when that was.
"No, I really don't remember having met you," she told him. Had she met him and not remembered him? Oh dear, that would be horribly rude of her to forget him! But she really could not recall having an actual conversation with him, though she has seen him a few times. "It's nice meeting you as well," she replied with a smile. While he was a tidbit odd, he was a rather nice pony from what she could tell.
"Are you alright...um, Doctor?" she asked. She was truly concerned for the colt, the things he was saying. "Have you hit your head?" She proceeded to look at his head, craning her neck this way and that. There was no mark upon his head that could show an injury. Maybe she was just judging him a bit too much... Being concerned isn't a bad thing, surely?

"Alright? I'm the best that I have ever been. Well that's not true, there was the planet of natural springs, now that was the best. " He said with a look on his face like he was remembering something that happened far longer ago then a few years. Doctor Whooves noted the concerned look on Fluttershy's face and did the only reassuring that he could. "I am quite alright and thank you for your concern, but I think it would be easier to understand if I showed you."
"Trust me, I am very confusing person. I think that we have seen each other a few times, but I wasn't aware that we hadn't officially met yet. I think that out of every pony I know it will be much easier just to show you what is going on." Doctor Whooves motioned for Fluttershy to follow him as he took his sonic screwdriver from his pocket. While he waited for a response he scanned the are for anything unusual and everything seemed normal for the moment.

Even Derpy would consider this an off day for her. Of course, the last time she was having one of those days where everything seemed to go wrong... Town Hall was nearly destroyed. She was late on her deliveries, she had accidentally bumped into at least 4 clouds, probably setting back the weather a bit, and on top of all that, she dropped one of her favorite raspberry raisin muffins when she was leaving Sugarcube Corner that morning... and that was the last one!
The postpony tried to keep a happy attitude as she spied her next delivery.
"Fluttershy!" she called out, swooping down. "I have a-OOF!" She dropped right into a small flock of oncoming geese, who honked at her in annoyance, but otherwise seemed fine. Knocked off-course, Derpy was sent hurtling into a nearby tree, hitting her head on a branch and dropping to the ground with a THUD! Up above, a small nest of birds chirped in fear as it tettered off of their safe branch and fell. Thankfully, Derpy was quick enough to catch them softly and safely in an outstretched wing. She heaved a sigh of relief and fluttered up to safely secure them on a new, stronger branch.
Finally, she landed and extended a letter to Fluttershy. "Letter from Cloudsdale, your family, I think!" Despite all the chaos that just ensued, she seemed.... strangely okay. Except, of course, for her "derpy" eyes, which seemed more boggled than ever, if that was even possible. She smiled, but was cut short by a loud "CRACK" up above, followed by a CRASH! As the nest's former branch slammed down on her head. Seconds later the pegasus announced. "I'm okay...", still extending that letter to Fluttershy in an outstretched hoof.

"Yes?" Fluttershy said when she heard her named called. She turned away from the Doctor and his odd device to see Derpy's rather exasperate entrance. The hit against the tree looked painful, but what had caught her eye was the nest of birds above. As they fell, she let out a high pitched squeak and had spread her wings to catch the nest. Derpy, though, had already managed that, placing them back in the tree. She let out a sigh. Thank goodness they were safe. But as for Derpy... she was used to this by now?
"Oh! Um, thanks, Derpy," she said, reaching to grab the letter when the branch had fallen on the poor peagsus's head. "Oh dear, oh dear," Fluttershy mumbled as she began to hover in the air to remove the branch from her friend. Taking the letter, she landed and gave her a concerned look.
"Derpy, are you okay?" she asked. "That sounded like that hurt..." While she waited for an answer, she looked down at the letter. Oh, it was a letter from her parents. She had grown used to letters like these since she decided to leave Cloudsdale for Ponville, where the animals were. It usually talked about how new jobs were opening up in Cloudsdale to take care of birds, or that she should come visit. She decided to tend to her friend first; she would write back a letter soon.
"Oh dear... it looks like that will bruise," she told her. "I-I have some stuff at home, if you'd like, to help it heal better," she offered, though she didn't know if it would help much. It was a lower dose that what a pony would need, seeing as it was for animals much smaller.

Doctor Whooves was about to put away his sonic screwdriver when it picked up a signal all of a sudden. In the distance a pony seemed to crashing into everything and was moving closer to them. Whoever this pony was she seemed to be quite the trouble maker. Fluttershy seemed to know her and even called her by name. The Doctor walked up to this pony while going threw his bag. He pulled out some very strange things like a pair of 3d glasses, a recorder, a large ball of red yarn. a stack of celery, and even a banana before he found what he was looking for.
"Don't worry about that bump on the head, I'm the Doctor here take one of these." In his hand was a white bag half filled, as it always seemed to be, with jelly beans. "Now what was your name again? Derpy if I heard Fluttershy correctly. That is quite the name, and may a say that was a brilliant entrance. You could have done better to avoid the birds nest, but I will give you at least an eight of of ten." he said while smiling. The doctor being a trouble maker himself always like having others with him.
"I was just explaining to Fluttershy who I was, but you can come with us if you want to Derpy. It will be fun to have someone else to talk to. I have been traveling by myself for a long time."

Derpy's eyes rolled around in her head a bit, before finally re-setting to their usual 'derped' off-center. She rubbed her head and stood up.
"Thanks Fluttershy, but I'll be fine." she smiled to the other pegasus, undeniably the kindest pony around, element of harmony or not. She maintained the smile. "I'll be fine, I get bumped on the head all the time." She said, severely understating her usual clumsiness.
But then that other pony spoke up. The stallion was a doctor apparently. "A doctor? I don't think it's that bad but- Ooh!" She was stopped by the sight of candy, an almost childlike giggle in her tone. She simply couldn't turn down the sweets! It was just what the doctor ordered after all... at least, that's what she told herself to justify it. She popped the jelly bean into her mouth with a cheerful thank you Mister umm..."
The malemare paused... she knew almost everypony in town... and she couldn't help but feel like she'd seen him before somewhere... but she couldn't place a name, which was odd. She was about to ask about it, but his comment on her landing seemed to bother her. Her ears flattened against her head. He sounded nice, but she couldn't help but feel he was being a bit sarcastic and mocking her clutziness. "Umm... yeah, thanks. I'll... try to work on that..." she mumbled, starting to follow the two of them. It looked like the stallion was going to give a big introduction, which would easily fix the gap in Derpy's memory.

The pony named Derpy seemed very nice and the most particular eyes. It seemed like something he said had offended her. Doctor Whooves knew that sometimes he could offend other ponies without meaning to.
"I'm sorry if i said something that was rude Derpy. The thing is I am always either crashing into some situation or having something crash into me. Over time I have learned just to have fun with anything that happens. It doesn't matter how much your break as long as no one gets hurt you can laugh about it later. " When Derpy seemed to ask his name, he wondered if she hadn't heard him the first time. Maybe she had still been a bit discombobulated after her crash and missed his name.
"I'm the Doctor, and I was just about to show Fluttershy something in the schoolhouse. You seem nice enough so i thought you might want to come along." After explaining a second time Doctor Whooves walked back to the doors of the school and opened them. He motioned for Fluttershy and Derpy to follow as he made his way into the school. The Doctor made his back to where the TARDIS was in the schools unused basement. He then opened the door of what looked like a police call box and opened it and when inside.

"Oh, thank goodness," Fluttershy said with a relieved sigh. Knowing someone she knew- no, anyone was hurt frightened her. "B-but if that's the case, you should try and be more careful," she told Derpy, biting her lower lip, concerned. Still, as the two conversed, she stayed silent, not wanting to interrupt them, despite her curiosity of the strange pony who spouted nonsense.
Upon following the Doctor alongside Derpy, the most amazing thing happened to her. "Ohhh...wow," she awed, looking around, trotting from place to place. How was this possible? She left the box and took a look at the dimensions and returned inside. It was bigger on the inside! Maybe this pony wasn't insane at all. Oh dear, she had judged him too early! That was so mean; she must apologize! She tread quietly to the Doctor and softly said, "I'm sorry, Doctor. I judged you when I shouldn't have. What you had said made no sense what so ever."
However, the fact that this place was bigger on the inside didn't prove time travel, which could explain why he thought he had met her before, it certainly pointed to it. She decided to put her trust in the Doctor. Her concern now was Derpy and her ability to hurt herself and cause damage unknowingly.

Derpy's smile was back. This doctor sounded a lot like herself. Keeping a smile even when the worst of times or in the craziest of accidents. Still, something seemed a bit off to her. The Doctor.... was his name? Well, she's heard stranger names she supposed. After all, she's sent letters and packages to almost everypony in town, and several out of town. She's seen some pretty funny names.
An ear perked up in Fluttershy's direction when she spoke up. "Oh, right. Sorry, I'll be more careful." She gave a dutiful salute as her 'derped' eyes narrowed in a serious expression. But only for a moment. After all, the sight of a blue box in the basement of the Ponyville Schoolhouse was surprise enough. Then, when two ponies both entered the box with no problem at all... Derpy was more than curious.
She trotted in behind them, and her eyes seemed to boggle even more then they already have. This place was... big. Well, it was actually not massive, but certainly bigger on the inside. While Fluttershy made her apologies, Derpy amused herself in her curiousity.
She walked outside, then inside... then back out... she tried flying in... she stuck her head outside, trying to look around for some kind of mirrors or illusion... then did the same looking on the inside. "Wow...." she sounded amazed. "This place is... How did you get it so big? Magic?" She didn't even wait for an answer, noticing the strange panel in the center. "Oooh! What does this stuff do? Is this how you get it so big?" she galloped over eagerly, looking over the strange controls (though it was hard to tell specifically what buttons she was looking at). She raised a hoof curiously, and started to bring it down to pull a random lever that seemed just so enticing.

Doctor Whooves smiled at the reaction both Derpy and Fluttershy were having at the TARDIS. He had grown to like the surprised reaction everyone seemed to have at the size of it. Before he had time to react Derpy managed to pull the demilitarization switch. The Doctor quickly moved to the control panel and was pushing buttons and pulling levers in what seemed like a panic. The door closed and the sound of the TARDIS traveling through time was one that was unrecognizable.
Once the TARDIS landed the Doctor laughed to himself. "You are going to be quite the troublemaker aren't you Derpy? Only I know how to fly the TARDIS and while I don't mind you exploring it, please don't touch the control panel. Now, time to find out where and when we are." The Doctor opened the door and took one look outside and knew where he was. This was a place he had been to quite a few times. It was the future and it was time to tell his now temporary companions where they were.
"If you girls would like to come outside and see, we are in the future. Five thousand years in the future to be exact. This has to be one of my favorite times in Ponyville's history. Everything is so nice and peacful here." Ponyville was a much different place, all the old shops were gone and replaced by much bigger building. The business were the same, they had just grown over time. The town pavillion was now a museum, and it seemed as if every species now lived in Ponyville. Dragons, changelings, ponies, zebras, mules, bulls, and many others were all inhabitants of Ponyville.
